I'd like to find a good beginners heli. I looked at one at the LHS this evening $169 don't remember what kind though. But I would like to find a hobby grade heli easy to fly indoors or outside that's forgiving during the learning process.

for beginner, many pple would suggest a coaxial to start off.. like the ESKY lama, Blade CX2.. usually these heli are better when flying indoors, or on a non windy day for outdoor.. Aztech also has a coaxial called Helex. I'm not sure if u have heard of it.. u can visit their website at http://www.aztech.com/rc/helex.html

but most importantly, it boils down to parts availability.. i wont say coaxial r easy to fly for beginners.. but they are very much stable than bigger helis..

Thanks for the input looks like it'll be round the first of the year before I can afford one though. Got to wait for uncle sam to send me my tax return first.

No prob!
some people prefer to fly on a simulator first before buying just to ensure less repair cost (that's when u crush).

=)
