Hang in there! If I may offer some help since I've got some extensive experience in this area... I blew my shoulder out a few years ago and by 2005, it had gotten to the point where it would dislocate all of the time. The Doc called it "shoulder instability" and ordered surgery. He did what's called a "bankart repair" on it and rehab lasted a total of six month's (yet back to work after 30 days). Six month's after the surgery, I fell off a ladder and basically undid what had been fixed. Keep in mind that I'm active duty Navy w/ 18 years in and can't afford to be placed on limited duty again, otherwise they'll medically retire me and I don't want that. So, I started doing some research and found this:

It's lifesaver! If I'm doing something that might pop my shoulder out, I throw it on. If my shoulder pops out, I wear it until the pain stops. It used to take 2 to 3 weeks for me to be able to use my shoulder after it popped out. Now if it pops, I put it on and recovery and mobility takes about 4 days to come back! I'm pleased to say that's it's been almost 18 month's since anything has happened. The only place I can't move my arm is straight up (12 o'clock). If you've got any questions, send 'em this way & I'll help you any way I can!
